Alice Springs Trip

The DDP.. aka Darling Partner Person.. and I headed away for a fabulous 2 week trip to Alice Springs in August, we had people to see every step of the way. And that holiday inspired this LO for the Inspired by Nature Challenge over at Kraft Plus.

I have not added a photo and I am really happy with the results. The creamy paint reflects the dust and dirt in the mine at Coober Pedy and I have included the few pieces of  potch that we mined.

So no.. we didn't come out rich...not with opal anyway.

Pretty stoked with this one, tried something a bit different for me.. 

I could see this one in my mind's eye and I am really happy with the result.

Whilst at the Melbourne Zoo with my brother and his young family.. my Mr then 15  states loudly and proudly that the lions were in with giraffes... Oh man...

My Pizza Box.....

When I saw this challenge from the team at Kraft+ I was beginning to think I wasn't going to get this one done either... missed last month... bugga.. anyway..  Then my bestie came around .. gave me a few ideas for a card that I wanted to make.. no card made.. But I did make this... A Pizza Box.  And I am stoked.

 So from these beginnings ...

I have taken my inspiration from the string... my heart.. the painted wall... I have spray painted over the background to soften the washi..  the books..I have found one of my favourite books at the op shop and instead of making flowers like I told the Sharon I would.. I have have simply added a picture of one of my childhood best buddies to the page.

Yes!

Just scraping in to get this loaded before cut off... I completed this LO at the amazing E2C Retreat, that was held just last weekend.. would really love to be there still...

This is my gorgeous youngest nephew Taylor D, he is patting a koala at the local tourist park, and he looks pretty chuffed with himself.

This is going to Kraft Plus for their challenge of "All that Glitters".
